For 30 days, US President Donald Trump has halted tariffs on goods coming from Canada and Mexico. Following last-minute negotiations with the two neighboring nations, Trump made the announcement.

Trump can portray this as a "victory" in terms of facilitating the border and using force to suppress crime. However, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum may also refer to it as their "political victory."
